On September 15, 2009, NavPress released The Message//REMIX: Solo [Pink Edition] by Eugene H. Peterson with the goal of raising breast cancer awareness and supporting prevention efforts. Just three months later, NavPress is proud to report that 20,000 units of the white-and-pink devotional Bible have been sold.
"We are very excited about the number of people we have been able to reach and the lives we have been able to impact both spiritually and physically with the Solo [Pink Edition]. We are looking forward to continuing this program into 2010," says Jill Johnson, NavPress Director of The Message and Bible Development.
NavPress is donating a portion of the proceeds from every sale of The Message//REMIX: Solo [Pink Edition] to breast cancer prevention and education. In addition, NavPress has created www.solopinkedition.com, a site dedicated to supporting and encouraging people dealing with breast cancer. The site offers videos, ecards, and space to record personal stories.
To help increase Solo [Pink Edition]'s effectiveness, NavPress is partnering with CBA (formerly the Christian Booksellers Association) in a Christian retail channel exclusive and with Dave Dravecky's Outreach of Hope on a Scripture ministry distribution.
